Linux Applications
|
Linux is available in several formats, called distributions. Each distribution has its own set of features and functionality that makes it unique. Some distributions are available for download at no charge, others are provided on CD or floppy disk and have a nominal charge associated with them. |

Linux FTP Sites |
The following FTP sites offer the Linux Kernel, assorted distributions, software, applications, drivers, documentation, and more. Although Linux is "free", not all distributions are free for the taking. There are some versions that can be downloaded at no charge. Virtually all distributions are also available for purchase on CD or floppy disk.
