Whether you are a business owner or the social media manager, keeping up with updating your social networks is and can be a full-time job within itself. Fortunately, there are plenty of plug-ins that you can easily connect with your website, especially if you use a WordPress hosted site, that help you to put your social media efforts on autopilot. One of the available plug-ins is called Tweet Old Post.

How it Works

This particular plug-in is for Twitter, so you won’t be able to use it for your other social networks. The thing is that you spend a lot of time crafting these great Twitter posts. After all, you only have 140 characters to do it, so you have to make the best of the space you have. This plug-in allows you to leverage the time you have already spent on creating Twitter updates by scheduling them to repost again at a later date.

Message Control

The plug-in does allow you to put some parameters on which of your Tweets get Tweeted again. The point is that you want to choose updates that are not stale, but are still valid. Instead of having to manually go through and repost these Tweets on your on, this plug-in does it for you.

Outcome

Users of the plug-in report that it not only helps them to put some of their Tweeting efforts on autopilot, but it also increases the amount of followers they attract. There seems to be an increase in followers directly following the time of the “Tweet again.” Since these individuals may have missed the original tweet, it provides a chance for possible followers to catch it on the next time around.
